One of the most common issues with dog owners is puppy crate training. Give yourself a break if this is you because your taking some steps in the correct direction. Some canine owners say that it is a thing that you must live with, having a puppy, and the canine will probably grow out of it. To me, this is LAZY thinking! You must acquire the correct knowledge of owning a dog if you are going to be a responsible pet owner!

Now, let’s get started with some basics of puppy crate training. First let’s begin with why we can and should use a kennel to crate train our puppy. Dogs are pack animals like wolves and in the wild use a den to raise their young. Spending the first part of their lives brought up this way causes them to feel safe and secure in a den. As opposed to being exposed to predators at night, they natually choose a den when they get a little older. Whether this be a whole in a mountain or a large tree, it gives a sense of comfort.
Keeping it’s den clean and not using it to potty in is your dogs natural instinct. When crate training our puppy we can take advantage of this behavior. Anyway, if you happen to be someone who doesn’t like having your puppies in crates, you are actually going with nature in providing a den with security. Puppy crate training is a safe humane way to house train your puppy quickly and effectively.
