I have a 7 month old puppy. He can sleep through the whole night in his crate, without asking to go out.
When can I allow him to sleep out of his crate, but still confined to a room, overnight?

We took our golden out of her crate for good at 11 months and she was an Angel about it - but we were very fortunate! I wouldn’t worry about accidents as much as chewing up your house!

The surroundings then try putting the room you intend it sleeps so maybe try putting the crate is gone just to see what happensand remember accidents do sometimes happen.
The room you intend it to stay in after the crate to the room you intend it sleeps so maybe try putting the crate in after.

if you leave the crate open, she might sleep in it anyway, some dogs like it in there! I think 7 months is pretty young to be expected to beahve unsupervised over night. Unless of couse he is well behaved during the day if you’re not there…I think you’ll have to test him one night, and if s*** hits the fan, maybe back in for a while! Also, I bet there would be less chance of house chewing disasters if he’s sleeping in your room!
