You don’t crate train a pup by sticking it in a crate and expect it to know what to do. Crate training takes place during daylight hours, where you start by leaving the dog about 2 hours and then walk it outside on a leash til it takes care of business. You do this during the night, too. Over a period of days and weeks, you gradually increase the amount of time you let the animal stay in the cage B4 walking it, until its bladder gets strong enough for an overnight stay. Once it trains this way, it won’t soil it’s crate bed. But YOU have to be the one to commit to the time and effort to do it, otherwise whatever you do will be a waste of time.. Being a responsible ownerf takes time and commitment, nothing you do when training a pup is a “right away” situation. If you can’t commit to this, you need to give your pet to a shelter. They will find someone willing to takem the necessary time to do it right.
You need to crate train it, it won’t always be in a situation to sleep with you all night…which is OK; but you need to crate train it for when you have to be away for a few hours.

What I did was I would put my dog in the crate for a half an hour then if he didn’t pee in his crate I would reward him then about two hours later I would do it again. Do this over and over again until he sleeps right through the night. Also when he can do that for an hour make it one hour.
