Can you help me potty train my puppy with no crate fast?
I have a really cute puppy, and she needs to be potty trained real fast. I really don’t like the idea of crate training her, because she is already trapped in our kitchen. I don’t want her in a crate, because I want her to have space to roam around in. I want her to go on carpet areas too, but my parents said that when she’s potty trained she will be allowed. I want her trained fast that way she can have the freedom to roam the whole floor instead of just the kitchen! Please help me!

Well crate train is the fastest way. I was told. But just like you. I feel bad to crate the dog. I put wee-wee pad in my kitchen.
Every time she pee in the pad, I gave her treat. Now, when she is indoor, she only pee on the pad.

You already seem to know the facts. Need some newspaper or doggy pads, I’m sure!!!!!

Crates really are the best way. They’re not cruel or punishment. You reduce the risk for all unwanted behavior while you’re away, like chewing your shoes or destroying your furniture or digging through your wall among many other. Please reconsider using the crate for her sanity and yours.
If you want to try anyway, you’ll need to take your pup out every 2 hours at least, when she goes potty outside praise her. If she goes in the house, do NOT rub her nose in it, that will NOT teach her anything, other than you’re mean and force her to stick her nose in poop/pee and could cause her to become afraid of you. If you should *catch her in the act* of peeing on the floor, you need to tell her NO then take her outside immediately and praise her for finishing peeing outside. If your pup is young, she may still have accidents, its hard for her to control herself because she’s still a baby.

Rub its face in it then spank it and throw it out side.that will learn em perfect, and it will give you more respect as it grows older.

take her out about evey 20 min and after she had a drink and eaten and before you go to bed. Buy a puppty pad (you can buy them at most Wal-Marts & all pets-marts) And put them in the kitchen every time you see her use use the bathroom some where besides outside or the pad take her to the pad or outside quick every time she goes outside to the bathroom outside or the pad give her a treat and praise.

Use the puppy pads. Place them beside the door where your most likely to take her out of when she is trained. It worked with my puppy.

Letting a new puppy on the rug is going to be a very bad idea for at least the next month or two. I know you feel bad about crating, but honestly, it may not seem like it at first, but most dogs learn to love their crate. Right now my 10 week old puppy is upstairs in his crate, and has been for nearly 2 hrs, and I can hear him tossing his bone around every so often, but he has not made a peep because he’s learned that his crate is a place for quiet playing and napping. Also, the crate will keep your puppy safe when you’re not home.
